PRECIOUS HEART FELLOWSHIP

Solving Legal Inequities Through Mental Health Research

There is nothing more valuable than life itself. That’s why the Precious Heart Fellowship was established—to provide a recent Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate with the opportunity to gain transformative experience in forensic work. This year-long, stipend-funded fellowship focuses on equipping the fellow with expertise in narrative therapy techniques to support immigration and criminal law forensic cases.

The fellow will receive hands-on training in conducting comprehensive evaluations, drafting expert reports, and presenting testimony during trials or administrative proceddings. Additionally, they will engage in creative work, including writing blogs or articles, and undertake a research project. This fellowship uniquely blends therapeutic learning, forensic application, and scholarly development to prepare the fellow for a meaningful career in forensic social work.
